Simple Homemade Hummus

drained and rinsed

grated into a paste on a microplane

water

olive oil

Instructions
Rinse and drain
15.5 oz chickpeas
.
Add the chickpeas to a blender or food processor with the juice of
1/2 lemon
and
1/2 cup tahini
.
With a microplane, grate
1 garlic clove
into the blender or food processor.
If you don't have a microplane, you can simply mince your garlic.
Add
1/4 tsp kosher salt
,
1/4 tsp paprika
,
1/4 tsp cumin
, and
10 cranks of black pepper
.
Begin to pulse the blender or food processor and add
1/4 cup water
.
Blend while slowly adding
1/4 cup olive oil
until smooth.
Transfer the smooth hummus to a shallow bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with paprika, and enjoy.
